Kruger National Park

South Africa’s largest and most famous National Park area offers some of the best game viewing and most luxurious lodges in the world. The Kruger National park area consists of the park itself and two private game areas that are on its western border – the Sabi Sands in the south and Timbavati in the north.

Magnificent Garden Route

A 3 night escorted tour that starts in Cape Town   ends in Port Elizabeth, from £365 per person

Day 1 – depart Cape Town around 7.30am via Montagu and Barrydale on Route 62. On arrivsal in Oudtshoorn you will tour an ostrich farm and iscover why the town is known as the ‘feather capital of the world’. Afterwards, visit the Cango Caves, on of South Africa’s leading natural sights. Overnight, Queens Hotel

Day 2 – Travel via the scenic Outeniqua Pass to George where from September to April you will then board the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam train and travel to Knysna. 2 nights, Knysna Log Inn.

Day 3 – Start the day with a cruise on the scenic Knysna Lagoon followed by a visit to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. After lunch from September to April you will have time to relax and enjoy the area. From May to August you will take a ride on the Famous Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam train

Day 4 – Drive through the glorious Tsitsikamma Forest to arrive in Port Elizabeth by mid-afternoon.

Zambia

Victoria Falls - the point where the mighty Zambezi River plunges into a chasm of some 108 metres below . Victoria Falls is a spectacular sight any time of the year and the area offers a wide range of river, land and air-based activities from relaxing sunset cruises to high thrill micro-light and helicopter flights.

Royal Livingstone Hotel – an elegant, luxurious, colonial-style hotel renowned for superb accommodation and service, situated along the banks of the mighty Zambezi and just steps away from Victoria Falls.

Lochnivar National Park – a World heritage Wetland Site famous for its concentration of over 400 recorded species of birds, also a great place to view buffaloes, zebras and wildebeest.

Lechwe Plains Tented Camp - a luxury tented camp of 6 spacious tents, each with private facilities. Activities include sunset mokoro trips on the lagoon, cultural visits to the nearby fishing village   walking safaris on the open plains. (Closed from November – May, due to the rainy season)

South Luangwa National Park – Zambia’s leading safari destination and a great place for walking safaris.The park has an abundance of game including leopards, lions and elephants.

Chichele Presidential Lodge – formerly a private retreat for Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda this elegant ‘gentleman’s lodge’ occupies one of the most breathtaking sites in South Luangwa. Enjoy the grace of the last century in this beautifully restored house.

Lower Zambezi National Park – covers over 4000 square kilometres with most game concentrated on the valley floor. Enormous herds of elephant, some up to 100 strong, are often seen at the rivers edge. Lion, leopard and wild dog can also be seen along with abundant bird life along the riverbanks.

Kulefu Tented Camp – a secluded eco-friendly tented safari camp. Here you can view game by boat, canoe, safari vehicle, on foot or from the verandah of your own tent. 8 walk-in tents each with private facilities.
