Day 1 - Overnight flight from London Heathrow to Beijing
Day 2 - On arrival in Beijing you will met by a local guide and transferred to your hotel
Day 3 - Enjoy a full-day excursion by coach to the Great Wall of China. After lunch drive along the Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs, where deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) are found.
Day 4 - This morning visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, a complex of imperial palaces that were home to the emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties. After lunch you will be driven to the Summer Palace, a former resort of the royal family and take a boat ride on Lake Kunming. This evening enjoy a delicious Beijing roast duck dinner.
Day 5 - Sightseeing this morning is the Temple of Heaven, where the Ming and Qing emperors prayed for good harvests. After lunch take a two hour flight to Xi'an, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of the Silk Road. On arrival take a city tour of the ancient city wall.
Day 6 - This exciting day of sightseeing will include the terracotta warriors and horses of the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first Qin emperor, and the bronze chariots. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda before relaxing at your hotel
Day 7 - This morning visit the Shaanxi Provincial Museum where you will discover how Xi’an became the cradle of Chinese culture. After lunch at a local restaurant, take a two hour flight to Shanghai, where you will be free to relax or explore
Day 8 - Sightseeing this morning features a tour of the Yuyuan Garden, the old area of the city, and a stroll along the lively waterfront, known as the ‘Bund’. After lunch visit the Jade Buddha Temple. After dinner enjoy an acrobatic show.
Day 9 – Flight back to London via Beijing.
