Day 1 – Fly from Heathrow to Amman, transfer to your Amman hotel
Day 2 – After breakfast, a city tour of modern and ancient Amman will include the Citadel, the Archaeological Museum and the 6000 seat Roman Amphitheatre. In the afternoon, take a tour to the mysterious desert castles, including the beautiful Azraq Castle, Lawrence of Arabia’s headquarters in 1917.
Day 3 – After breakfast, drive to Jerash, one of the best preserved cities of the Roman Empire. In the afternoon, continue to the shores of the Dead Sea to enjoy a relaxing float in its buoyant mineral-rich waters, or a soothing mud massage.
Day 4 – Depart for Mt Nebo from where Moses is thought to have viewed the Promised Land. Drive to Madaba, the city of mosaics, then continue along the picturesque Kings Highway before ending the day at the crusader castle of Kerak.
Day 5 – Today you will enjoy a tour of Petra – the fascinating Nabataean rose-red city carved in pink sandstone more than 2000 years ago.
Day 6 – Drive to Wadi Rum for a two hour jeep safari into the depths of this spectacular desert. Afterwards, continue south to the coastal; town of Aqaba
Day 7 – A full day at leisure in Aqaba. Relax on the beach, or why not try snorkelling to experience the wonders of the Red Sea?
Day 8 – After breakfast transfer to Aqaba airport for the flight to Amman, rest of the day at leisure.
Day 9 – After breakfast, transfer to Amman airport for your flight to Heathrow.
