TERMS & CONDITIONS

INTRODUCTION

Your booking is with Hays Travel Ltd trading as The Travel Shop, 19 High Street, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, LN9 5HP. Your booking is subject to the terms and conditions set out in this document. The contract is between The Travel Shop (“the Company”) and any person (“the Client”) travelling or intending to travel on a tour booked by the company, the travel agent. These terms can only be varied with the written consent of a director of the Company. Where a reservation has been made by telephone, these terms are deemed accepted by the Client on receipt of this document.

Clients must sign an authorisation form at the time of booking to accept the Tour Operators Terms & Conditions.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Client must undertake to the Company that the details they provide are correct and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the product being purchased.

PAYMENT FOR YOUR HOLIDAY

If the booking is made more than 10 weeks prior to departure, a deposit will be required to secure the booking. The amount will be dependent on which Tour Operator the holiday is booked with. You will be advised of the amount due at the time of booking.

The balance of the holiday cost must be made paid no later that 10 weeks prior to departure (“The Due Date”). Should the Client fail to pay the balance by the Due Date, the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking and to levy charges to the Client. For bookings made later than 10 weeks prior to departure the total price of the holiday must be paid at the time of the booking. Payments by credit card incur a 1.5% charge.

CANCELLATION & CHANGES BY THE CLIENT

The Client can cancel the booking in writing at any time. However, any deposit paid by the Client will be forfeited to cover the costs of administration. In addition, further cancellation charges will apply as a percentage of the holiday price as set out in the Tour Operators Terms and Booking Conditions.

The Client may request to change any aspect of the holiday by setting out those changes in writing to the Company. Any charges made by the Tour Operator for these changes will be paid for by the Client.

PASSPORT & VISAS

Any passport, visa and health requirements are the responsibility of the Client and failure to obtain the relevant documentation is not the responsibility of the Company.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

It is a condition of booking that you have adequate insurance cover, provided either by the Company or a third party. If by a third party you will be required to sign an Insurance Indemnity Form at the time of booking.
